About the event
Welcome to Youth on Board's Zero Waste Action Day! Join us as we embark on a journey towards environmental sustainability and waste reduction. Throughout this event, we will engage in various activities aimed at raising awareness, promoting eco-friendly practices, and fostering a sense of responsibility towards our planet. From beach cleaning to tree planting, and from food waste management training to exploring waste utilization in permaculture farming, our goal is to inspire positive change and empower individuals to take meaningful actions towards a zero-waste future. Get ready to make a difference and be part of the solution!
We will organize:
Beach Cleaning: A beach cleaning event where volunteers gather to collect litter and debris from the shoreline, promoting ocean conservation and waste reduction.
Tree Planting: A tree planting initiative in collaboration with local communities to enhance green spaces and promote carbon sequestration, contributing to a sustainable environment.
Food Waste Management Training: A workshop or training session on effective food waste management techniques, educating participants on reducing, reusing, and recycling food waste to minimize environmental impact.
Waste Utilization in Permaculture Farming: A session on utilizing waste materials in permaculture farming, demonstrating innovative techniques to repurpose organic waste for composting and soil enrichment, fostering sustainable agricultural practices.
